Everyone has a camera and most of us know how to use it. Photography is no longer exclusive to those who’ve invested time and money; photography belongs to everyone and is used, applied and appreciated in a multitude of formats. On the digital front, we’ve witnessed the growth of apps such as Hipstamatic for the iPhone and Vignette for Android, which have infiltrated social networks and image sharing sites alike. On the analogue side, we’ve seen the rise of the Impossible Project, Lomography and the return of Polaroid.
We asked two photographers to discuss the popular app, Hipstamatic:
